14. Präventionswoche
Heute möchten wir auf die 14. Präventionswoche in Wismar und dem Landkreis Nordwestmecklenburg aufmerksam machen. Dieses tolle Projekt erhält auch von uns „Demokratie leben! Wismar“ eine Anteilsförderung.
Im vergangenen Monat wurde der aktuelle Suchtbericht für Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in einer Landespressekonferenz vorgestellt. Der Bericht basiert auf Daten der insgesamt 25 ambulanten Sucht- und Drogenberatungsstellen in unserem Bundesland. Er macht klar, wie ernst die Lage ist. Auch Gesundheitsministerin Drese erklärt auf der Pressekonferenz am 19. September 2023: „Der Suchtmittelmissbrauch und Drogenkonsum ist in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ein schwerwiegendes und dauerhaftes Problem. Besonders der Alkoholmissbrauch ist leider weiterhin sehr verbreitet“.
„In vielen durch Alkohol bedingten Erkrankungen haben wir Werte zu verzeichnen, die teilweise deutlich über dem Bundesdurchschnitt liegen“, so Drese (Ministerin für Soziales, Gesundheit und Sport).1
Ob Alkohol, Cannabis oder Amphetamine von all dem wird in M-V viel zu viel konsumiert. Erschreckend ist auch, dass bereits junge Menschen in die Abhängigkeit rutschen.
Daher betonte Ministerin Drese weiter: „Mit unseren Präventionsangeboten müssen wir vor allem junge Menschen besser erreichen. Das gelte insbesondere auch für das Thema Cannabis. Wir brauchen eine verstärkte Aufklärungsarbeit etwa in den Schulen und gezielte Suchtpräventionsmaßnahmen auch digital.“2
Präventionsarbeit ist uns sehr wichtig! Daher freuen wir uns sehr, dass es uns bereits zum 14. Mal gelungen ist, gemeinsam mit unseren Partnern aus der Region, der AOK NORDOST, dem Landkreis Nordwestmecklenburg, der Hansestadt Wismar und dem Kreisjugendring Nordwestmecklenburg e.V. die diesjährige Präventionswoche zu organisieren.
