Im Rahmen der „Interkulturellen Woche in Wismar“ fand am 17. September 2022 in der Zeit von 13:00 bis 17:00 Uhr auf dem Gelände hinter der Alten Reithalle und dem Haus des Gastes Wismar, das Fest der Demokratie statt. Eröffnet wurde die Veranstaltung von der Präsidentin des Landtags M-V, Frau Birgit Hesse. Viele örtliche Vereine, Einrichtungen und Institutionen präsentierten sich vor Ort den teilnehmenden Kindern, Jugendlichen und Familien mit einem bunten Programm und Infoständen (Schwerpunkt: Kinderrechte).
